Windows application for creating plant plates

The windows application we developed for the tree nursery Wörlein GmbH was build in close collaboration with the customer in order to satisfy the special needs of the customer for this application. It can be used to intuitively create plant plates allowing for a wide range of flexibility concerning image- as well as text-layout.

Features

  • intuitive selection and scaling of the displayed image section using simple drag&drop technique
  • import of legacy-data in form of excel sheets
  • extendable list of key data describing each plant
  • WYSIWYG-live-preview during development of plant plates
  • data-storage in Microsoft Access database
  • extendable range of templates (currently: A4 single picture, A4 two pictures)

Technology

The applications runs on Windows XP, Windows NT and Windows 2000 platforms. We used C# and Microsoft Access for this project.
